Etam Crew is the name of a team composed by the artists Przemek Blejzyk (Sainer) and Mateusz Gapski (Betz) , both from Poland. Their street art amazes for its grandeur and color intensity. Their works can be admired in Europe but even in the USA. Their oils on canvas are also a stunning surprise and reveal their studying at the Academy of Fine Arts. Etam Crew appears in the following book Concrete Canvas: How Street Art is Changing the Way Our Cities Look
Michael Aaron Williams is american and he is a complete artist: painter, sculptor and and creator of stunning street art works.
As a painter, most of his portraits in recent years have focused on using coffee and ink on antique ledger paper that dates back to the 1920s and 30s. The images are entirely rendered using a brush, lots of coffee, and a bit of ink for the darkest darks.
But another important part of his work focuses on the street.
As the artist says:
“It’s the place where people live their daily lives. This allows me to interact with an audience on their own turf and observe how they react to the art; it is a social experiment. These open‐air installations focus on the ephemeral state of street people and enable the viewer to participate in the outcome of the pieces, whether the viewer leaves or saves them from the street. My goal in depicting street people is to show their beauty and fragility, while bringing their situation into the eyes of the viewer, refusing to let them be forgotten or ignored.”
